To Treat or not to Treat?

Posted by admin    Posted in Blog, Treatment    Posted in February 28, 2011    |    No Comments

I get this question frequently…”Do you put braces on younger kids?”

  • Q: When do you want to see my child?

    A:

Put simply, ALL children should see an ORTHODONTIST by the age of 8. This way developing problems can be caught early and corrected. Some bite problems, if not treated at an early age could lead to much more extensive treatment later including jaw surgery. While this is an uncommon scenario and not all children benefit from early treatment, it demonstrates the benefits of an early orthodontic exam and evaluation. - Dr. Nuveen
